Creative Landscape

Look Up

This project was the final of a set of 4 projects and I was excited to take photos of a creative landscape because I have done a lot of similar work in Mr.Andreson's Photo 1 class. Looking back at some of my past work, I knew exactly what I wanted to take a photo of for this project. I took this photo while on a bike ride on my woods trails. One place to get good photos of creative landscapes is the woods.

I have some past experience when taking photos of landscapes. I kind of do it as a side job with my drone but those photos aren't meant to be amazing works of art. When I took this photo, one thing that I wanted to focus on was making sure that my camera was pointed up at the sky, but not just taking a photo of the sky. Then I remembered a photo that I took for Photo 1 and it was a low horizon shot of the sky and a tree line. I decided to do something similar for this project except change the horizon line. Or just get rid of it. And that's exactly what I did. Getting rid of the horizon made the green of the trees more vibrant and made the sky more visible. This technique helped me achieve the look of the photo that I was looking for. I'm not sure why but there are some white lines in the blue of the sky and I couldn't get rid of them even in photoshop in a way that didn't make it super obvious that I changed anything.
