Analogous

Leaf

If you asked me what analogous meant before I did this project, I couldn't tell you. That being said, I didn't think I would be able to take a decent photo with this composition. It's subtle, but analogous is represented by the leaves in this photo with yellow and orange, which are right next to each other on the color wheel.

With everything going on with COVID-19, I have been going on walks to get my mind off of everything. This has opened up many opportunities to take photographs. This photo was taken on one of these walks. At this time of year there aren't many colors in the woods so it was tough to find colors that fit the composition that I'm looking for. With this photo, I did capture the analogous composition. Although the colors of the leaves were very light, they do have a shade of yellow. Before I edited it in photoshop the leaves surrounding the orange leaf looked plane white but the orange leaf looked dark so that needed to be changed. If I had to change this photo I would have made sure that the background is darker to bring out the color of the leaves better.
