"Crossroads" (6 x 7in)
Artist Statement:
The question behind the piece is how can I use color and emphasis to show the different environmental changes. I choose to make this because there are different types of environments and with that, there are different types of environmental changes. One with the home of an animal being turned into a road and its fault for crossing it.
I made this piece by outlining the horizons line, road, and the trees. I the secondly painted on the road, trees, and sky. The materials I used were watercolor pencils and paint, glue, a thin tip marker.
A process I used to create this piece is going in between watercolor paints and watercolor pencils to create a new texture on the trees. I think my project evolved because of contrast with the adding of the bright blue skyline. I think my next step would be to either add something to the background or to add another animal.
