Abstract Shoe Design

originally we were told to draw our shoes for a project, our art teacher than assigned a new task to use a viewfinder and Draw what is inside the viewfinders view and do that three times till we had a very close up angle from the shoes so close you would never guess that the original drawing was supposed to be a shoe. once we had drawn that we were told to put patterns inside the shapes we had made from the close-ups of our shoe design. my drawing shows many patterns with thick and bold lines circles diamonds and even some triangles. I made my piece using sharpies for the color and a plain black marker for the outlines and patterns.

in my piece of artwork I used the elements space, form, line, texture, shape, and color these all helped my piece go from just outlines to colorful patterns for the principles I used all the principles to help with the fluency and mixture of colors and patterns on my piece. My project started with as a shoe drawing and slowly evolved getting closer up than super close with patterns covered and finally to a pattern covered colorful piece of artwork.

I think the meaning behind my artwork shows a bit of me and how I enjoy the brighter colorful side of life and want to have fun even making artwork. the story behind it is an unclear path similar to life with the bold and thin lined patterns it's like a maze. My feature that I am proudest of has definitely gotta be the orange and blue circles it came out so much better than I had hoped for and I am very happy with how it came out. A struggle I had during the creation of my piece was coming up with ideas and patterns so I asked the teacher for some advice he told me to try and make some thicker lines and copy previous patterns and I really like that and am very happy with the new thicker patterns. something that bothers me about my artwork that I wish I could change but it's in sharpie sooo... is in some places I went over the border and it's not a huge Deal because it looks like part of the artwork but it really bothers me for some reason.
