Foundations of Art

Going into this year I didn't know what to expect besides the fact that I had the good art teacher but it turned out to be my favorite art class that I have taken. I think that this class is definitely one of the more fun classes I've taken this year and the only project I didn't enjoy was the one Mr. A didn't have control over. At the beginning of the year my artwork was scrappy an less complete moving through the year it got more complete still having a bit of a scrappy feeling at the closer to end of the year the drawing I didn't came out very good and most of the art did and then there was the wire sculpture which was my worst project all year, saying that it was the only project that I got injured In the making and wasn't thoroughly Instructed on what I got cut doing. Without a doubt, the project I had the most trouble with was the Color design project. In this project you had to make a design that had 84 spaces on a big canvas then you had to mix and paint the 84 shades and colors onto the spaces. The main reason I had a lot of trouble Was that I was out sick for 2 weeks of school so I was significantly behind on it. It was also hard making and using the extra time like after school and during advisory. At the end of the year looking back at all my work I can proudly say that I think the 1-point perspective Hallway drawing came out exceptionally well. We were tasked to find a hallway that we liked I struggled with that part but once I found it I got to work and I think my hallway could have been one of the best drawings I ever did. If asked to find something negative about this hallway drawing that I didn't like I could do it because I absolutely love this drawing. Over the course of the year, you could really track my growth mostly with the drawings because that is definitely my greatest art strength and I think it got so much better realism and the other stuff and hope to continue my growth next year in 2D-3D design. My weakness definitely showed to which is the other stuff like ink and painting which is partly because that's out of my art comfort zone but also because of that the dirty stuff that you don't want to get on your clothes so you can't really get into it without being very cautious but I still enjoyed it just a bit less. Overall this year has been great and I really enjoy the class and environment surrounding it.
