For this drawing, I knew that my idea needed t be surrounding Corona Virus–more importantly how I felt during this pandemic. I began do brainstorm my ideas and found that writing out various thoughts would put the message across the clearest as well as draw a girl and overall her mind space. I then began sketching the girl's portrait.
After I drew the girl, I began thinking about what words and ideas I was going to bring forth. I decided to simply go for it after procrastinating what I was going to write, and how the words were going to fit. I decided that it would only be my raw thoughts if I took a pen and went for it. It ended up being pretty therapeutic as I began to write what came to mind and I established a flow of thoughts as I wrote the thoughts that occurred very frequently in my mind during this time. I used a pencil to sketch the girl, and then used a black pen to write the words in the background.
I think this project was a cool thing to do and see the finished product because I began just writing what was always in my head during the pandemic, and writing in bold the words or thoughts that appeared more frequently in my mind. I drew lines from the face of words such as "patience" to highlight the importance of them. After writing and drawing, I looked at the final piece and realized that it was an accurate and cool representation of how I was feeling and how I'm sure many other people, especially teen girls are feeling during this time which I think is cool to think about.
