These drawings are inspired by a small converse that I drew from different angles. I have a pair of converse myself, so when I went home I ended up drawing the bottom converse with my own pair. The only thing I had to modify was taking out the laces from my own pair to match the pair that I got from the art room.

These drawings were made with pencil. I used an HB pencil to sketch light lines at first to create the outline and the shape. Then I used a softer pencil and pushed harder when creating the contour lines of the shoes.

Some experiments that happened were that the holes kept coming out different sizes so I had to draw them multiple times to get the right sized hole, and also that I decided to draw stitches on the shoes but then realized that it was quite hard to draw multiple stitches and keep them all in a line. After many trial-and-error tests, I got the stitches in the design that I wanted them. Proportion was a difficult factor in these drawings for me so the shoes definitely evolved over time as I tried to make them more proportionate. Next steps for me within these drawings would be shading because although the contour drawing shows the shoes, shading would definitely add to the depth of the converse. Overall I am happy with how my shoes came out and I like how they are all from different perspectives.
