For this project, I made a whale tale with 8 gauge wire. I wanted to make a fairly simplistic sculpture with the wire to give it structure but still look artistic. The process started when I bent the wire around my reference piece of decoration so I could get the right shape, then I filled it in and gave it dimension with the wire that I bent around the tale to give it a 3D sturdy shape.
