Sustained Investigation #4

For this project, I wanted to focus on the materials and use ones that related to my topic so I went to the beach and gathers lots of things to use. I envisioned a mermaid in the wood I cut so I made it more apparent with a sharpie. I was a little stuck on what to do because I had a bigger smother piece of wood and it wasn't really speaking to me in any way but when I saw the little textured ones I was more inspired.
