As I did more projects I got better at making projects with little structure of guidelines witch is what I struggled with at first. I learned how to use more of my strengths in my work and incorporated my own photos as references. I also explored new materials such as colored pencils that I had not used in a while. My work shows my strengths and weaknesses because the pieces that were realistic and collaged or referred from photos were better in my opinion than the ones where I took more creative liberties.
The most challenging aspects for me were thinking of things to make on my own that were not assigned or referred from photos. Another challenge was completing the more detailed projects on time, and a way I learned to make it better was to do my projects on a smaller scale, this was not what I normally did because I like doing bigger projects to fit in more detail. Im most proud of my realistic and water projects like my duck stamps.
My goals for the future are to continue to make projects that challenge me and people admire and to also learn how to motivate myself and make work im proud of without the structure of a competition, deadline or assignment. A goal and idea of mine is to make artwork that's interpretive of songs, mixing two of the things im passionate about together.
