Color Design

The main idea that guided my artwork was making a striped bass in rainbow colors and still showing that it's a striper with realistic components. I didn't want it to look like a ‘rainbow’ fish, so I put the colors in different sections and grouped them with their shades and tints. To make this I used acrylic paint on canvas. To make this project I started with a sketch of a striper, then I used my reference photo to see where the darks and the lights were on the fish. I had to paint over many parts of the fish many times, but eventually, I got it the way I wanted.
