Sgraffito

For this project, I wanted to make an octopus because you can make them very spread out with their tentacles so I could fill my whole tile with the patterns and tentacles. I wanted to add the guitar to give the octopus some character:) For this, I rolled out a piece of clay, left the rough edge, and drew my octopus in the spaces in the clay. I looked at a couple of reference photos for the shape of the head, tentacles, and guitar.
