Scratchboard

For these pieces, I wanted to capture light specifically with hair because both the animals I chose were very harry. For this I used scratchboard and I alternated tools to create different textures. The first one I did was my cat, and this went well, I gridded it out to get the proportions correct, then I made it with the scratching tool. For the dog, I did a graphite transfer so there were no grid lines, and I found a new tool with 4 very small points like a fork that were very close together which helped me create smaller detail in the hair of the dog.
