The main idea of this artwork is to observe a 3-dimensional object and make a sculpture based off of it. Throughout the process of making this artwork, I was trying to figure out how to make the sculpture stand on its own using the fish hook connections, and how to make it resemble the object. First I got the 3-dimensional object I wanted to make, then I started bending the wire to the shape I needed and used the fish hook connection to connect it. I repeated this process building up the sculpture layer by layer until it was to the height I wanted it to be. Once the black wire part of the sculpture was completed I went back in and with copper wire to add extra detail. Before I started making the sculpture I experimented with what to use as my model for my sculpture.
