The main idea presented in my artwork is to bring different sizes and colored shapes together and arranging them so that they fit perfectly with one another. I am trying to figure out how to make all of these different shapes fit together as one. This artwork was made by first I found materials, in this case, construction paper, that I could use for my collage. After deciding to use construction paper I cut out a variety of different shapes for different color paper. Once I had all of the shapes I was going to use cut out, I arranged them on drawing paper to see how I wanted them to go and fit together. After I decided on where all the pieces were going to be placed I glued them down to the paper. This paper "Rough draft collage" was used as a reference for when I was painting the "Painted collage." Before I could even start the final draft I had to experiment with the type of shapes and how to organise them on my rough draft collage.
