The superhero genre is a very large and well liked one out of the many other genres. Production companies like Marvel and DC have created many superheroes that we have grown to love and that many have grown up with. However, the film that I and my friends are in the process of making relates to the villains of these stories. Since our movie is based around a heist, I feel I will get a lot of inspiration from the Jokers heist in The Dark Knight. This scene shows multiple people wearing different clown masks in a city. As some of them are ziplining down a building, others are in the car meeting them. They enter the bank at different times and begin pointing their guns at the workers to get them to duck down. One by one, the different clowns secretly begin executing each other without the other knowing. Their plan is very strategic and involves careful decision making. Once inside the bank vault, they grab as much money as they can and try to run out. Each clown is unaware of the other's secret tasks and is told to kill certain people until the Joker is the last man standing. While my film will not include all of the killings that the Dark Knight included, I will use the strategic planning aspect to show the viewer how intricate the heist is. Aside from the villains, the superhero genre has had a large impact on many films to come. They became so popular because of their fantastical plot lines and constant engagement. I will make sure my film opening is much like that of an action movie including a superhero aspect.
