For camera framing and composition, I chose a picture of my friends and I at a picnic. We make up a group of 6 people so we would be considered a 6 shot. In this photo, we didn't leave much room for the background, so much of the picture is focused only on our group. We are all very close together in the frame which shows we are comfortable with each other and happy. In film, a large group of people could mean many different things. It could mean a large group of friends hanging out, family members together, or even strangers at an event. However in our photo, it is apparent that we all know each other and are friends. There is a lot of light on us which conveys upbeat feelings and energy. We are all equally focused on in this shot and no one is singled out. If someone was going to be singled out in this picture however, a focus pull could be added on someone's face or on the background. If a viewer saw this picture though, they would most likely be drawn to the people in the middle first because of the height difference. There is not much background in the photo because of the cut off, but you still can see some trees and golf carts. If the framing was farther back, there would be more blank space showing. However, this most likely wouldn’t change where the viewer's eyes went first.
