Disney, the popular corporation founded by Walt Disney in 1923, started out a small industry in Los Angeles California. The first disney production was a series of Alice comedies that Walt signed a contract with M.J. Winkler for. After several years of the Alice comedies, Mickey Mouse came along in the year 1930. From then on, Disney created countless famous films including the disney princess franchise, Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, and more. Disney, created many decades ago, is still highly popular and praised by its audience. Disney’s target audience consists of males and females in all age groups from toddlers to grandparents, but with a particular focus on families. This wide range of an audience is part of the reason why Disney has become so popular. A company that satisfies all age groups will gain much more traction than a company that only caters to a specific age group. My film, a heist, will cater to all groups as well. Since there are young female characters, teenagers will be the main target audience. However, the film is also an action movie that may contain some violence or “mature” content. While no Disney movies are outwardly part of the heist genre, there are several instances of this genre shown in the Toy Story 3 movie. When Woody’s friends are all trapped inside the preschool, he returns and attempts to save them without waking the villain stuffed animals. In a way, this is a much more kid friendly version of a heist and an attempt to save characters opposed to money or a valuable item.
