Well done to the children and parents in these classes!
Dear Parents/Carers,
What a busy and successful week at St Joseph's! Our parent meeting on Tuesday, focused on SEND, was excellent. I shared information about our approach to SEND, key information, and what to do if you have concerns. Thank you to Mrs Daniels, Mrs Phillips and Mrs Winters for supporting me with this event, and to all parents who attended; your feedback that it was very useful means a lot. Due to its success, we'll be running it again online in the autumn term.
We also held and End of Year parent meeting on Thursday. We did it online due to the weather and it turned out to be our most attended parent meeting to date, despite the technical issues! We shared updates about our vision, 3-year plan, successes and achievements, as well as next steps for our school and community. Thank you so much for your patience, engagement and great questions which, demonstrate the great partnership between home and school. We truly believe having a strong partnership between home and school, is pivitol in children's success. Thanks also to the leadership team who helped me deliver the meetings and stayed at school until late.
Our book sale and icelolly sale raised over £150, which will go towards our new library. Thank you so much for your generous support!
Today's transition day was a huge success. The children spent time with their new teaching teams and were very settled, they are ready to progress into their new classes. We also welcomed new joiners to St Joseph's! We still have places available, so please spread the word! T
The children enjoyed their discos this afternoon – a great way to end the week. Reports went out yesterday, capturing your child's progress and next steps. If you want to speak to your child's teacher about the reports please see them after school or call the office to request an appointment.
Year 4 performed the most wonderful end of year assembly and have really set the bar high for everyone else to follow. They spoke clearly about their growth and fun learning activities this year. They reminded us that if you're reslient you can achieve great things and I could not be more proud of each of them.
We're looking forward to seeing you at our end of year assemblies next week, Mass on Wednesday, and the Year 6 production.
We also hope to see everyone at the colour run and summer fair tomorrow, 10am-1pm.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Ashley and the Team

Thrive's Summer Wellbeing calendar.
This summer, take some time to connect with the natural world around you and enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits. This four-week Summer Wellbeing Calendar contains a mix of active, mindful and creative activities that invite you to observe and enjoy the beauty of nature each day. Some can be done indoors, others outdoors. Most need little to no equipment. You can take part if you have a huge garden, or no gardenat all.
You could start at day one and follow in order, or jump ahead to any day and activity you most feel like doing. If you miss out some activities, that's fine. By the end, you will have hopefully increased your time with nature and feel the benefits!

What a fantastic week it has been for Year 3! Making the absolute most of our warmer weather, the children have taken their learning outside, spending plenty of quality time exploring our wonderful Forest School. From investigating the natural world first-hand to simply enjoying the great outdoors, they have fully immersed themselves in nature. Back in class, they have also been working incredibly hard rehearsing for their upcoming assemblies. It has been a joy to watch their confidence grow as they practice their parts out in the fresh air, and we cannot wait for you to see the final results!
