The multimedia module aims to introduce students to communicating visually by creating projects in film, graphic design & presentations.
Our equipment includes a semi-professional HD video camera, handheld video camera, microphones, LED stage lighting and a sound mixing desk. The software we use includes iMovie, Adobe Photoshop & Microsoft PowerPoint.
Students work in teams of four throughout the year on a series of projects. Projects are based around real school events as much as possible. This allows the students to make an active contribution to school life as well as getting a large audience for their work.

A key challenge in Multimedia is learning how to work as a team in order to complete a challenging project, therefore while students receive individual marks for effort, they are marked as a team on their assignments. As many of the projects students work on in this module have external deadlines, students agree a set of goals for the end of each term that their team can be marked on. Details of the goals for each term are shown below.

An image that captures the essence of the first world problem
Good choice of where to put the text in the slide
Appropriate size, font and colour used for text
