CAD, or computer-aided design is the use of computer technology for design. CAD software replaces manual drafting with an automated process.
Most drafters now use computer-aided drafting and Design systems to prepare drawings. CAD is regularly used by architects, and should be considered as a leaving cert subject for those interested in that field of work.
Aims and Objectives
To introduce students to the principles of good design.
To give students an appreciation of the design process.
To teach students how to draw 2D or 3D drawings using this program
Teaching Plan
To split the plane into sections which is easier to compose e.g. wings,body of plane etc.
Demonstrate each step on the projecter.
Being able to teach students one on one how to achive each measurement.

How to make a plane on Solid Blocks.
