FreeRTOS is a Real-Time Operation System (RTOS) that guarantees the processes to run before speicific deadlines. RTOS uses specialized algorithms to achieve deterministic nature of behavior. For Xilinx-based embedded systems, FreeRTOS will be integrated with SDK tool, and ported to the Zedboard and MPSoC platforms. This will be a powerful tool, but details will remain confidential for now.
