HS Boys News 7/13

We're back from Puerto Rico! We stayed in the Condado neighborhood, went to Condado beach, Isla Verde beach, Old San Juan, the Vivo Beach Club (see pictures), and hiked in El Yunque. We went through tons of water and 22 bottles of sun screen. I think we also played some water polo on this vacation! A big thanks to Mr. Murphy and Luis for being great hosts and guides. I am hoping that we will return to this tournament again next summer, so please start to think about joining us next July. Thanks also to the Puerto Rican nine who helped with the clinic and scrimmage at the River Forest Tennis Club last night. After a long week end, I appreciate your willingness to show some younger kids just how great our sport is.
We have only two more weeks of water polo this summer!
Please read everything below; we have a few games coming up as we wrap up the season:
1. Tonight, Wednesday, July 13 at Fenwick 6:30pm and 8:00pm for the RED team followed by / along with BLUE and WHITE practice 7:30-9:30pm.
2. Tomorrow, Thursday, July 14 at Niles West (5701 Oakton St, Skokie, IL 60077) 6pm and 6:45pm for the blue and white team. Please let me know tonight if you can play in tomorrow's games.
3. Saturday, July 16 at St. Charles East (1050 Dunham Rd, St Charles, IL 60174). We will play at 7:50am - vs. Maine East, 8:40am vs. St. Charles and 10:20am vs. NIPC. This is open to ALL players from ALL of our teams.
4. We have games at Fenwick this Sunday, July 17 11:15am through 6pm with our team playing at 12pm, 3pm, and then either 3:45pm, 4:30pm, or 5:15pm. This is for our RED team. I will make the roster tonight.
5. We have games Wednesday, July 20 @ Fenwick for the RED team 6:30pm vs. Team Chicago 6:30pm & 8:00pm vs. Barrington followed by / along with blue and white practice 7:30-9:30pm. Roster will be finalized next week.
6. The Blue / White team will have their final summer games on Sunday, July 24 at Metea Valley with games starting at 8am and probably finishing around 2pm. We will begin making this roster tonight.
Our final practice is on Wednesday, July 20 and the games at Metea on Sunday, July 24 will be our last games of the summer. This summer has gone by so fast! Fall season information will be coming out shortly; we will again participate in the AWP Fall HS Boys' league.
