Age Group News 11/2

Great job this weekend for all levels! We are all done playing games, but we still have a few more practices. We have three more practices as we finish our fall season. We will practice Monday, November 2, Wednesday, November 4, and Monday, November 9. 11/2 and 11/4 will be in the pool during our normal 6-7:30pm time. 11/9 will be 6-7pm, and we will be decorating our ornaments for our Christmas tree.

We will be doing our 2nd Annual Brookfield Zoo Tree Trim on Sunday, November 22 at 10am to 1pm. We will meet at the entrance where you buy tickets and then go in together as a team to our tree. Our tree location has not yet been decided, but I'll send information your way once I know. Last year, we decorated for about an hour, then walked around the zoo as team and did lunch together. I have 17 tickets and 4 parking passes. If you or your child is interested in going with us, please stop let me know how many tickets you need. I am happy to give you a ticket or a parking pass. I am only handing the tickets out to adults or mailing them if you let me know before November 15 because I do not want the kids to lose the ticket even if it is for them. That afternoon at 4:30pm, we will begin our Winter Sunday Scrimmage series for anyone interested. The cost is $5 and we will scrimmage from 4:30-6pm Sundays in November, December, January, and February. You do not have to go to the zoo to participate in the winter Sunday scrimmage. We will create our ornaments at our final practice on Monday, November 9 6-7pm.

What's next for Windy City?

​Winter (November through February): Sunday scrimmages. $5 drop in 4:30-6pm for some fun water polo scrimmages. Occasional Sunday at another team's pool for an away friendly scrimmage.

Spring (March & April): Practices typically are Tuesdays 7-8:15pm and Sundays 12:30-2pm or 4:30-6pm. We're hoping to add a few local games this year to our Spring Season.

Summer (June & July): Registration meeting is Sunday, April 24 at 5pm for the age group athletes 14U, 12U, and 10U. Practices are typically Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5-6:30pm. Games for 14&Under and 12&Under on the weekends similar to the fall schedule. We're working on some opportunities for 10&Under to play some games at this age level instead of just playing up at the 12&Under level.
