Age Group Water Polo News 10/22

Our 14s finished their regular season 4-2. Our 12s finished their regular season 1-5 after earning our first win yesterday vs. Lyons. The 14s will have their final league games at Fenwick on Saturday, October 27 between 10am-3pm. The 12s will have their final league games at Lyons Township South Campus on Sunday, November 4 between 10:00am-3pm. These schedules should be out today or tomorrow. The schedules are seeded based on how teams finished in the league, so we are waiting for the games that happened this past weekend to be reported before the schedule will come out.

Windy City Water polo will once again do a team trip to the Brookfield Zoo to decorate our Christmas Tree on Sunday, November 18. Our tree is number 44 and is located on the South Mall, between the Swamp and the Hamill Family Play Zoo. We will meet at the main zoo entrance (before you go through the tunnel) at 10am. We will decorate our tree with the ornaments that we'll make during our last week of practice and then tour the zoo as a team until around 1pm. Depending on how hungry the kids are, we will likely do lunch at the zoo, so bring some money for food if the kids absolutely, positively cannot take another step before dying of hunger. Parents are welcome to join us too. Windy City has 20 free zoo admission tickets and 5 free parking passes. These are for ANY Windy City players or parents. If you are planning on joining us, please let Coach Kyle or Coach Elizabeth know. The passes are on a first come, first serve basis and though they can be used for kids and adults, they will only be handed out to ADULTS in person here at the pool. I am not going to risk handing the paper ticket to a kid who then leaves it in the bottom of their water polo bag! Passes can be picked up before or after any Windy City practice until we run out.
Still waiting on a Colorado schedule but will have an itinerary headed out shortly.
Winter information coming soon! 10&Unders will likely have their own set of games on Saturdays throughout the winter against other 10U teams! We hope all of our 10Us can participate and invite some friends!
