Congratulations to our 14&Under boys who are currently 4-0 in the AWP league! Our 12&Unders had a close game with Lyons this past weekend at Latin. I really appreciate all of our 12&Under girls who were able to do double duty and play at Latin with the 12&Unders and then head over to Lyons for the 14&Under girls games. We are always in need of players for our 14&Under girls team, your efforts to help out all of our teams were great!

Normal practice this week (M,W,R 6-7:30pm). Next week, we will practice Tuesday (Sept. 30), Wednesday (Oct. 1), and Thursday (Oct. 2).

Coach Elizabeth has her adult women’s team practicing on Thursday nights 8:15-9:45pm at Fenwick. Interested moms should talk to Coach Elizabeth (elizrperry@gmail.com) as she is always looking for new players.

Colorado final plans should be handed out on Wednesday. Payment will not be due until mid to late October.

14&Under boys should plan on playing games at Stevenson High School on Saturday, October 11. This is a late addition to our schedule.

If you have any pictures that you want to share with the team, please feel free to email Coach Kyle Perry at kperry@fenwickfriars.com .

Three team rules when we are playing away:

1. When playing, all players must be on the bench with their caps on. Not only does this show the coaches that you are ready to get in, being on the bench with your cap on allows you to focus on the game. Since many of us are still learning the game, it is important to watch as much water polo as we possibly can. Getting ready on the bench means you’ll be ready when you get in the pool!

2. When your team is not playing, all players must be with their parents or sitting with the coaches. We do not wander around the pool or schools unsupervised. We do not touch anything that we do not personally own without asking permission from the coaching staff. At Lyons and other pools, there are stationary bikes or exercise equipment; we will not be riding them, standing on them, or messing with them in any way.

3. Always lock your stuff in a locked locker or bring your stuff out on the pool deck. Do not ever leave your stuff in the locker room unless you have a lock on a locker. Putting your stuff in a locker without a lock or leaving your back on a bench in the locker room is an easy way to have your stuff stolen. We will put our things together on the pool deck. This will hopefully help us keep from losing anything.
