The following is an example of how to frame a photograph in photoshop.
1. Open an image in photoshop.
2. Right click top border on image and create a duplicate or copy of the original.
3. Now working with the copy only.
4. Image - re size - image size - re size to a 7 x 5 inch image.
5. Image - re size - canvas size - select relative if not already ticked - width 0.1 and height 0.1 -
canvas colour white - o/k.
6. Image - re size - canvas size - width 1 inch and height 1 inch - canvas colour black - o/k.
7. File - save as - <image> copy.jpeg
