So your back from your location, what to do next, organize your
images on the computer.
1. Create a folder called Proofs_<year>.
2. Copy your photo's over to your primary hard drive, to a folder
labeled ,<year><month><day>, that way the folders will always
be in ascending order.
3. Create a backup of your photograph's onto a secondary hard
drive.
4. Create a folder called Adjustments_<year>.
5. Create a folder dated with today's date, <year><month><day>
and copy any images you wish to edit into this folder, never
work on the images in your poofs folder.
6. Now you are ready to open photoshop and start editing.
7. Open a file img_0001, right click the upper border on the image
and select create duplicate, now you work on the duplicate
only and not the original.
8. Take a quick look at your photograph and note - what’s the

photograph and work on from there -
Normally if I am editing a photograph I follow the following
steps -
1. Crop image to create a better composition, note that by
cropping an image you are reducing the amount of pixels in
the frame and therefore image quality when printing later.
2. Check the RGB histogram and adjust levels.
3. Check and adjust the highlights and shadows.
4. Check and adjust the contrast.
5. Adjust sharpness of image.
6. Duplicate the final photograph for sharing or framing.
7. Re-size image or file size, frame and sign for printing
or uploading.
8. Save a backup of your images to the editing folder you created
for your photographs.
