Beef Stroganoff is one of our family regular meals that we all love. We put the sour cream on the table for each person to add however much they want and always server over hot buttered egg noodles.
Here's what I use:
1lb. Beef Sirloin cut into 1/4 inch strips
1tblsp Flour
1/2 tblsp favorite Seasoning Mix. We like Mrs. Dash.
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tblsp Tomato Paste
10 1/2 oz Can Condensed beef broth
2 tblsp butter
2 tblsp olive oil
Here's what I do:
Combine flour and seasoning mix and coat meat. Heat skillet and add 2 tablespoons butter. When melted add sirloin strips and quickly brown on both sides. Add onions and garlic and cook for 3 or 4 minutes or until onion is crisp-tender. Remove from pan and add olive oil to pan drippings. Add tomato paste, Beef Broth and remaining flour/seasoning mix. Stir and cook over medium high heat until thickened and bubbly. Return meat/onions/garlic to skillet. and serve. Serve with hot buttered egg noodles and sour cream.
