In the 3 albums, you'll see that there are three things that the 3 Gulf Coast locations have in common: the fine, white sandy beaches that squeak when you walk on them, the calm waters and the massive condo buildings. Of the 3, I really liked the Southern Colonial feel of Gulfport, with its houses on stilts and small-town atmosphere. Except for the Panama City Pier, which you'll see is wonderful, Panama City (actually we stayed in Panama City Beach) is the polar opposite - full of garish mini-golf courses and tacky souvenir shops. Kind of what Santa Cruz could have become if they had no good sense. There are a lot of photos in these 3 albums, but this area is so interesting that it's worth the extra time.
