A visit to Alcatraz and a sparkling day on the Bay

This was our farewell-to-SF and family celebration day.  All my life, I had staunchly refused to visit Alcatraz, but Mary-jo convinced me to go.  An added incentive was the fascinating Ai Wei-Wei exhibit that has been installed there.  I am really happy that we saw both the island and the artwork.  You can see from the photos what a beautiful day it was.  After that, we met Marci, Aaron, Chris, Regina and Zachary for dinner at Scoma's, one of my favorite SF restaurants.  I had swordfish.  Aaron & Marci gave us a copy of Dr. Seuss' "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"  Perfect.
