Abiquiu - O'Keeffe Country

We toured Georgia O'Keeffe's home here but were not allowed to take photos.  It is typical pueblo style, but with huge picture windows looking out on her gardens from one side and the valley below on the other.  She was friends with many artists and there are a few or their photos, sculptures and pieces of furniture displayed, but the rooms feel spacious and light. It felt futile to try to photograph the spectacular countryside, but I tried to capture some of its majesty.  You have to observe her paintings to see the colors she saw.
