In my laboratory, we conduct research on insects (such as pollinating bees) inhabiting satoyama ecosystems, focusing on the following areas:

1. Basic ecology and behavioral ecology (life history, foraging behavior, and gregariousness)

2. Evolution of social behavior and inter-individual interactions in bees

3. Ecosystem services provided by insects (pollination)

4. Conservation management aimed at maintaining insect diversity

I primarily focus on flower bees in my research, but the research subjects and themes of my lab members cover a wide range of topics.
