Radio amateurs to host field day
MURFREESBORO – Tennessee Technology
Center at Murfreesboro will host the Stones River Amateur Radio Club 2013 Field Day event beginning at 10 a.m. June 22, and continuing into the next day
Stones River is a local chapter of the American Radio Relay League. Often called ham
radio, amateur radio has been a reliable means of communications in emergencies when other systems failed or were overloaded.
