It’s the real story of Neil Amstrong, the first man on the moon ; and how did he get there.
This film describes a lot about Neil personal experience, he lost his daughter (she was really sick), and some friends during his training as an astraunot. In that way this film is very emotional.
Each time that Neil go away, his family and friends are worried about him, because during those 8 years, they have seen a lot of team members died in Genesis and Apollo projects.
During the movie Neil locks more and more on himself, because more the project advance, more the risk are high ; but despite all of his frustration and his anger, he finally have done it at the end, he have reach the moon and so, he became a legend.

Battle of the Sexes is a movie released in november directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris and starring Emma Stone as Billie Jean King and Steve Carell as Bobby Riggs. This movie is inspired by a true story related to the history of tennis and women's rights, the 1973 tennis event in America where the second best tenniswoman at that time, Billie Jean, beat one of the previous number one tennisman, Bobby Riggs, who left professional tennis in 1962. Their tennis match followed the one where he erased Margaret Court, number one woman at that time. Bobby Riggs won so easily against her (6-2/6-1) he didn't train at all during the weeks before the match against Billie Jean. She trained day and night, only wanting to win and defend women's right.
The storyline begins when Billie Jean, strong advocate for women's right, decides to boycott WTA tournaments, supported by other tenniswomen as they were paid 8 times less than male players. They developed their own tournament system and grew in number of players. Bobby Riggs is a fat drugged American who left the courts in 1962, his hobby is money, that's why he proposes Margaret Court to play against him, knowing he will win as he never stops doping himself. He destroys Margaret Court, earns a lot of money with his sponsors as the match is broadcasted on tv. He then decides to play again against the number two, Billie Jean. He calls her, she accept. Bobby Riggs then signs more and more contracts with companies, and make advertisement for them during the match, which is a tv show for him.

This film tells the story about the city of Detroit, in the Summer 1967, during a « civil war » : black people against the police authority because black people was persecuted by police officers. Injustice, violence are at the heart of this Thriller based on a true story. The movie look at Dismukes, a black vigil in a grocery during civil war. One night the National Guard arrived for backup the local police. While a coffee break, a shot rang come from the « Alger » (it’s a motel). The police with the National Guard decided to get a confession, they used out-law procedure. Sadical interrogation, psychological game. Summary : three men, unarmed, will be shoted and some other wounded.
Detroit it’s not for child, it’s a heavy, violent film but it’s a good film. GO SEE IT !

Kingsman 2 is the sequel – as the name says – of the first kingsman movie (- if you need to know more about it, a critic is available on the site -) . The story is telling how the kingsman agency is dealing with a new « vilain », incarnated by the fantastic Julianne Moore. This Vilain, who have the hand on almost the entire drug system in the world, with an organisation called « the golden circle », and who want, more or less, to get more control on the world. In which way ? Well, that’s the plot of the film. Don’t you think that it would be a good idea to watch it by yourself ?
Here is our opinion about this film.
We personnaly really liked Kingsman 2, even if it’s not perfect. It’s always a pleasure to watch a kingsman movie. First of all, because of the universe : it’s crazy, like a parodic 007 movie, with serious topics behind. Having a vilain living in the jungle, with a little 50’s town for her set the scene. Beside, this caracter is also really interesting, being lovely and horrible in the same time. The other caracters are great too, it’s a pleasure to meet again Merlin and Eggsy – who is even more badass than before – and find out new ones. But the film is dealing with other problems. For example, sometimes, the jokes are great, but become too much. Althought, this film is for lovers of the first one. If you liked the one, you’ll liked the two. And if you didn’t liked it, you’ll probably not watch Kingsman 2 after all.

POSITIVE REVIEW :
On Monday the 30th, we’ve watched the dramatic movie : « I, Daniel Blake ». It deals about the English society and the hard poor living conditions of the modest families. Daniel Blake is an old who has health problems. His doctor says that he isn’t able to work but he’s not allowed to receive allocations for the disabled.Then he meet a another poor woman migrant with her 2 children... With her, he tried to have his allocations.
This film is very realistic, and it has been nominated for several awards like : British Independent Film Awards, European Film Awards, Evening Standard British Film Awards, Golden Tomato Awards,London Films Critics’ Circle, New York Film Critics Online. And he won 3 of these awards !
This movie opens our mind on the question of the needed’s place in the England society but also like other country like ours. It deploys humanistics perspectives about the peoples who stay in the rest. It makes to think a review about the scocial welfare management and rules because this artwork show us the nonsense of it.

The last Thursday, the 1S3 watched the famous Tim Burton’s movie : Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. It deals of Jacob’s story who live in Florida. One day his grand-father died, he discovered a letter from his grand-father with the adress of an island in Wales. His grand-father talked about this island in his stories when he was a child. He talked about an orphanage with “peculiar children”.
Jacob’s parents were worried about the mental sanity of their own child. He practised a mental therapy with Dr.Golan who is in reality the villain. He wanted to visit the island and try to go to the orphanage to discover what his grand-father wanted to say to him. He discovered a destroyed orphanage but children were there to send Jacob in the temporal loop. He saw how the loop works but once when he entered in the loop; he was followed by the big villain. The villain captured Miss Peregrine in a cage because he needs her energy to make him unbeatable. After he teleports a wight in the loop. The wights are the creatures of Dr.Golan they need to eat peculiar children’s eyes. After this with all his friends, Jacob used an old submerged ship to save Miss Peregrine out of the time loop...

Captain Fantastic is a 2016 American comedy-drama film by Matt Ross and starring Viggo Mortensen. The story centers on a family who is forced by circumstances to reintegrate into society after living in isolation for a decade.
In the forests of the Pacific Northwest, Ben Cash raises his six children by himself after his wife, Leslie, was hospitalized for bipolar disorder. Ben and Leslie became disillusioned with American life and chose to improve survivalist skills and philosophy in their children.
Ben, though a loving father, is also extremely strict with the children maintaining physical exercise and education by reading extensive texts ranging from foreign language to quantum mechanics. The children, except for Rellian, are accepting of this lifestyle.
We find that this film is interesting because living outside of the society is extraordinary, and the fact that the childrens are so smarts is very suprising and it shows that we are anchored in the society .

The film was edited in 2016 by Gary Ross and the principal actor is Matthew McConaughey who is a famousactor. The Free State Of Jones is talking about a man called Newton Knight who left the war front of the civil war ( 1861 ) of America because his nephew got hit by a bullet, so he brought him to the mother of the kid, and he became a deserter. Then, he gathered a troup of two hundreds deserters to fight against the confederates to getthe black men free and the rights of vote. Later, they conquered three counties and the black men get step by step the right of vote. To put it in a nutshell, Newton Knight had what he wanted with his troup and then he lived happy with his black wife.
In our mind, this movie was a very great film with actions and a nice real story but sometimes the pace was a bit slow, but it still is a good movie. Besides, it can make you revise your history lessons.

The movie talks about the story of Glass a scout who lead a band of hunters across wild mountains . Butone day Indian tribute attack the camp, then must escape the camp thanks to a boat for save their lives.After that survivors of the camp were hunt dawned by the tribute. Glass is the last chance for follow thegood way to the fort, but he was at death's door because a grizzly hurt him when he try to spotted the betterway for the team of survivors. Glass was carryed by his compares because this is the only one who knowthe road to the fort and escape the tribute who hunted the group. He was abandoned because he can’tcross the mountains. He was left to himself, hunted by indian, and he succed to reach the fort, only oneidea in his mind : revenge....

Critic of the brand new james Bond movie : Spectre
One of the most awaited movies of this year, the fourth of the series stared by Daniel Craig this production really impressed us in term of scenery which was really immersive, switching between the straight streets of Roma and the outstanding austrian mountains.
Moreover the producer also put an impressive amount work in the effect added during the combat and pursuit scene. Nevertheless some scene became so unrealistics that they became funny as example the first fight in the helicopter when after doing loops at 100 meter up from the crowd James Bond manage to save himself avoiding nearly a crash.
However the silence were really well imployed particulary during the reunion scene that immersed really well the public, no one could break the silence and the pressure it released.
More about the characters and actors, Daniel Craig as always keeped his robotic caracter and seemed just a bit more laid back but it doesn't affected much James Bond and emphathize the « killing machine » aspect.
In regard to the style used we observe a mix between the originals old James Bond and the news top technology and modern style so it doesn't affirm it's position between the both choices,

The film we saw at the cinema was entitled "SELMA". It was relased in March 2015. The film was about African Americans who fought for their rights, mainly to get equal rights with the white americans. Davd Oyelawo, in the role of Martin Luther King led the movement during the demonstrations and lectures. The biggest one was in 1965 in epic march from Selma ( which was the head quarter of the activists to Montgomery.
Thanks to this march, the racial discrimination fighters enticed president Johnson into giving up and granting equal rights for all American citizens.
We enjoyed this film because of the genuineness of the story which recaped the story of segregated African Americans. It showed how many risks they had to take to get equal rights.

Kingsman, Secret Services is a British spy film of 2015. It's the story of a spy agency.
When one of the spies is killed by a mysterious girl, the agency starts looking for a new member. Eggsy was one candidate because his stepfather is very cruel with him, in fact his father was killed when he was a kingsman. During the selection, each candidate has to train a dog and do a lot of tests. For the last test candidatees have to shot their dog down. Eggsy can't and he is fired.
Then Harry tracks Richmond Valentine, the boss of the mysterious girl, to a hate group church where Valentine is testing his signal to make people become violent. After the slaughter, Valentine says to Harry that he wants to broadcast his signal all around the world to make humans disappear and save the planet. After these revelations, Valentine kills Harry Hart.
After discovering the kingsmen's boss, Arthur works for Valentine, Eggsy kills him. Then, he teams up with Roxy and Merlin, 2 kingsmen to attack Valentine. Roxy has to destroy a Valentine's satellite while Eggsy and Merlin attack Valentine's headquarter. After a long fight, Eggsy kills Gazelle, the mysterious girl, and Valentine. Now a true kingsman, Eggsy offers his mother a better house and a chance to leave Eggsy's stepfather.

Whiplash is a 2014 American drama written by Damien Chazelle.
Andrew Neiman is a 19-year-old student at Shaffer conservatory, the best conservatory in the USA. His dream is to become the best jazz drummer of his generation. He is accepted in Terrence Fletcher’s band, a terrible bald teacher who mocks and insults his students.
Andrew practises a lot to satisfy Fletcher’s expectations. The teacher insults his students to make them exceed their limits. Sometimes, he strikes his students.
During a competition, Andrew is promoted main drummer by Fletcher because he can play « Whiplash » from memory and not Tanner, the last main drummer.
During another competition, Andrew couldn’t play because he had a car accident. Fletcher said to him « You’re done ». Andrew attacked him in front of the audience.
Andrew is expelled from Shaffer. He is then contacted by the lawyers of Sean Casey’s family, one of Fletcher’s former students who hanged himself due to the pressure inflicted by the teacher. With Andrew’s testimony, Fletcher is fired.
After a few months, Andrew meets Fletcher in a bar and the former teacher invites Neiman to take part to a concert with his professional band. Andrew accepts.
On stage, Andrew is humiliated by Fletcher. Indeed the conductor knew Andrew had testified against him and he wants to have his own back. Andrew is so angry he first gives up and leaves the stage to join his father. It takes him but a few seconds to decide he should finally try his luck and he comes back on stage to play « Caravan » and do a drum solo. Fletcher first feels angry but ends up supporting the young musician and even gives him a nod of approval as he finishes his solo.
This movie is about yougness and dream but also about the strenght of motives.

Magic in the Moonlight is a 2014 American romantic comedy film written and directed by Woody Allen. The film was released on July 25, 2014, by Sony Pictures Classics.
In 1928, Stanley Crawford, an english illusionist, is famous in all the world as Wei Ling Soo. The evening of his last show, who takes place in Berlin, Howard Burkan, an old friend that he hasn't seen for some month, ask him to follow him on the French Riviera to unmask a medium suspected of ripping off the Catledge which is a rich family. He took advantage of the trip by visiting a charming old lady, her aunt Vanessa, who raised and took care of him during his childhood. Stanley is impressed and troubled by the vision of Sophie Baker, and that also made also him laugh, and became convinced of his gift, up to recognize the front of the press. When his old aunt, who had an accident, finds on the operating table, he even begins to pray, thing he had never done before. Then he pulled himself together and finally unmask Sophie : this is actually a crook who is helped by the old friend, who is actually a traitor.
But this great pessimist is finally forced to admit that he fell in love with the girl, her smile, her love of life. Her, for her part, is more attracted to him than the bland and naïve family son and his millions of dollars, yet he advised her to marry him. She finally reject his proposal of marriage, but love is the strongest, and they finally fall in love.

Pride is a film by Matthew Warchus starring Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton, Dominic West, Paddy Considine, Andrew Scott, George MacKay, Joseph Gilgun, Ben Schnetzer, about a community of gays and lesbians that want to support the minors on strike. They are striking for better work conditions and LGSM ("Lesbians and Gays Support the Minors") help the minors by collecting funds for the strikers. But the minors are shocked by the help of LGSM and some of them will even fight to put them off ...
"The film doesn't look very interesting and funny but actually it's a really fun and moving film. The film shows that Lesbians and Gays are very friendly and helpful towards people in difficulties compared to what people think about them. Now we know that being Gay under Margaret Thacher's time wasn't the easiest way to integrate society and be appreciated."
