Escal'Atlantic

Escal'Atlantic is a museum on the history of ocean liners, located in France in Saint-Nazaire in the Loire-Atlantique county.

It is located in the submarine base close to the port of Saint-Nazaire.

It consists of a route reconstituting the different parts of a transatlantic liner.

It includes nearly 200 collectibles like armchairs of the “Normandie” and the “Ile De France”, from liners built in Saint-Nazaire from the late nineteenth and early 1960. It shows the life on liners like “Le France”, also called the “floating Versailles”. It is placed in service in january 1962.

Throughout the visit all is done to make you feel like as if you were on a transatlantic liner of the XX century.

Furthermore the visit contains a lot of interactive games to learn things while having fun.
