The first thing one notices about PLS's April 2005 Sampling Results is that there is not a single day of non-detect level of dioxane in the discharge (OUTFALL) using the provisionally permitted Ozone/Ox treatment system ... compared with 47% of the days for the previous officially permitted and proven UV/Ox system over its last 12 months. The April monthly average discharge ppb is about 3 times what it had been for the previous UV/Ox system over its last 12 months. Apparently, the requirement to use Best Available Technology has been tossed aside... and without any prior public hearing.
Second, the readings for the new MW wells 94s, 94d, 95, 96 are significantly lower than the readings found for those wells as they were being drilled:
These discrepancies call into question the validity of PLS's sampling for these wells and perhaps all wells. What is being measured by the wells apparently does not reflect the facts in the ground.
More instances of wishful thinking trumping reality?
