2000/02/02-Videotape to air on CTN

A video tape of the January 10, 2000, Public Meeting on Pall-Gelman Sciences Plan to Leave Contamination in Area Groundwater will be aired on Ann Arbor's Community Television Network on the following dates & times:

• Wednesday, 2/9/2000 at 9:00 pm

• Thursday, 2/10/2000 at 11:00 am

• Friday, 2/18/2000 at 3:00 pm

All will be on cable channel 9/17.

The tape is 2 hours long.

Tell your friends, neighbors, and colleagues to watch or set their vcr's.

If Pall-Gelman is allowed to let the Western Plume spread without any active remediation, then we can expect the same non-cleanup tactic for the Core and Evergreen plumes when they reach 500 ppb and 77 ppb respectively.

Those who oppose such degradation to our pristine groundwater aquifers should still send in their comments to the DEQ even though DEQ's official deadline for public comment ended January 21, 2000.

Persistent contaminants like 1,4-dioxane should be contained and completely removed from groundwater. They should not be allowed to spread in the name of "cleanup."
