Hong Kong Bach Collegium is a company set up by Stephen Hung for the purposes of concert production and music tuition, and research in piano building and maintenance. The concerts produced by the company focus mainly on the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, though not exclusively. The music tuition provided is mainly on piano playing and music theory, with a syllabus that draws not directly from Bach, but from a way of thinking that would equip the musician with the necessary tools to understand Bach's music. The researches in piano building and maintenance aim to help pianists develop a more holistic approach with their instruments and to aid in more effective communication with piano technicians.
