Figure 1: Word Cloud for SCH3U Curriculum
This website is meant to be a comprehensive resource guide for the Grade 11 University Preparation Chemistry Course. This resource follows the 2008 Ontario Science Curriculum for grades 11 and 12. The website is broken down into the 5 strands of the Ontario curriculum: matter, chemical trends & chemical bonding, chemical reactions, quantities in chemical reactions, solutions & solubility, and gases & atmospheric chemistry. Each strand has a potential lesson sequence for the unit including many activities, teaching strategies and interactive components. Each strand also includes curriculum expectations, common misconceptions, societal implications and applications, assessment strategies, a creative piece and a glossary of key terms. We hope that this resource can be used as a tool to effectively engage and educate students about chemistry.
