2. Chemical Reactions
In Strand C, students will have the opportunity to develop precise vocabulary relating to chemical reactions, including synthesis, decomposition, single displacement, double displacement, combustion and neutralization reactions.
They will be able to predict the products of those chemical reactions and represent them in a balanced chemical equation.
Finally, throughout this unit, students will design and conduct investigations into the chemical reactions' industrial applications and the environmental and societal implications.
