•Action: 1.Construct table to record the names, molecular formulas, emperical formulas, and molar masses of ethylene, butane and cyclohexane. 2. Research to find their molecular structure.Then build each molecule using the molecular model kit. Examine and record its molecular and emperical formula in the table. Calculate and record the molar mass of each compound.

•Consolidation: Compare and contrast three molecules based on their molecular and emperical formulas.

•What is the relationship between the actual molar mass of each molecule and the molar mass calculated for its emperical formula.
