On April of 1775 the British army was at Boston and there was a rumor that they were going to fight the Sons of Liberty and the Americans. Paul Revere went off across the Charles River to Charlestown and the into Lexington. He did this to warn Hancock and Adams that the British could attack. So basically, what Revere did was warn the colonists about the British, the rumors of the attacks and when they were attacking for real. This rides were important because it helped the Militia get prepared for the battle. Even though he was a silversmith he helped the colonists succeed. Revere tried to do things quietly because he didn't want the British to find out.
Interesting Fact:
This picture shows Paul Revere in one of his midnight rides. As you see, in the background there is no one by his side. He is doing his things "secretly". I choose this picture because it describes a lot the character of Paul. This was his job in the Revolutionary War. I think Paul Revere did a good job because of this that he did the colonists got prepared to win the battle against the British. He was a god leader to follow!
This picture was one of the Paul's rides. This show that he went from Boston through Lexington. Paul's job wasn't easy. Imagine going from Boston up to Lexington in the dark an he needed to be careful because nobody could hear him. And he was just a silversmith!!! I appreciate the good job that he did, an I considered he is a good leader.
I chose this video because it describes really good the ride. It shows Revere's personal life and how he had to go to help the colonists. I liked this video because it's realistic. Like, how he had to live his family and go overnight to ell the others. Just imagine that, risking his life, leaving his family, to help others. That's another reason because that is shown really well in the video.
