Josh was a British general. He was best known for Gentlemen Johnny. He was a witness at the battle of Bunker Hill, he did not participated in it! On September 19,1777, John won a small victory over the Americans lead by Horatio Gates and Benedict Arnold. This was called the Battle of Freeman's Farm. Then British and the Americans went south to regroup under Horacio Gates. On October 7,1777, John attacked; and they got defeated by the Americans. This was called the Battle of Bemis Heights. The Americans perused the British, and days after, they surrounded the British. On October 17, 1777, the British surrendered.
This is Josh Burgoyne. He was a British general, like I said before. He was best known because he surrendered in the Battle of Saratoga. He surrendered because he needed supplies but unfortunately the supplies never came. So, that is why he surrendered. To me, he seems like the type of men that want to do what they want. They follow the rules when the boss says it is final, but if it's not final, he tries to persuade the boss to do what he says.
This picture is at the end of the Battle of Saratoga. This time is when the British surrendered to the Americans. In the picture, the British are giving the Americans their weapons. They do this because they surrendered and part of the "requirements" when you surrendered is to give your weapons to the enemy. I really like this picture because I can capture really fast what is happening.
I chose this video because they talk about Burgoyne. They ask "Burgoyne"some questions. Also, some of the British are giving their opinion and are telling the camera what Burgoyne told them to do. Others, just continue to give the summary of him. With this video, you can have and idea how Burgoyne was. I clearly understood it, if you didn't please leave a comment.
