It began on April 19, 1775. The British sent troop to Capture Samuel Adams and John Hancock in Lexington. They also wanted to destroy the Americans weapon store in Concord. But before the British troops arrived, the Americans were warned. The militia had time to hide their weapons and John Hancock as well as Samuel Adams escaped.
The Battle of Lexington was all a misunderstood. The Americans "were fighting with the British". Non of the side actually were expecting to fight. There was misunderstanding and no one knows who fired first, but when it all finished, there were eight militiamen dead and nine were wounded.
After the British troops were done in Lexington, they went ahead to Concord. When the got there, they didn't find any of the militia men. The militiamen were on the other side of the Concord's North Bridge.
After a while, the militiamen decides to cross the bridge and start fighting with the British. The British fired first, but when the colonists returned the shot, they all felled down. The Americans defeated the British, and British went back to Boston.
This video, is a good way of explaining the Battle of Concord and Lexington. It doesn't only talk about the battle, but it doesn't talk about the battle. It shows you how everything happened, so you just not imagine it. But my favorite part about the video is that it shows some of the characters talking in their own way and what they thought in that moment.
The first picture is about what happened in Concord. This pictures shows you the bridge were the Americans fighted the British, the Concord's North Bridge. In one side you will see the British shooting the Americans,as well as the Americans shooting back. In on corner, you will see an American sitting down "outside the battle. When you see this picture, you just start to continue imagining what happened. Maybe, at first, you didn't even know how the British were dressed, but when you see the picture you can clear your mind and see how the battle happened.
The other picture, is about the Battle of Lexington, the first place the British went. On the background, you see the different houses, this happened in the colony. As I mentioned before, it was all a mistake that is why things were so fast. But, in the picture you see the British shooting the Americans. As well as the Americans trying to deafen themselves. The British was welled prepared, that is why the Americans got injured faster.
