NWCC ArcGIS Hub URL https://nwcc-nrcs.hub.arcgis.com.
The NWCC ArcGIS Hub currently only serves as a data search portal. Searchable data include GIS data (e.g., webservices on ArcGIS Online), documents (e.g., standalone PDF files or non-GIS files in other formats), and web apps and web maps that are hosted on ArcGIS Online. Hub data and documents can be downloaded by users. NWCC might add additional Hub features in the future.
Just key in the keywords in the search field to search ArcGIS Hub. There are two major NWCC data sources of the data in ArcGIS Hub: the webservices created from NWCC AWDB and basin analysis reports created in BAGIS. You can use, for example, "awdb" or "bagis" as the keyword to find the data from these sources. You can also set the data category (data, documents, or apps & maps) to browse the entries that are in that category.
The image below shows an example of the search result using "awdb" as the search keyword. Click on the hyperlinked name of an entry to see its detail information.
The image below shows that the "stations SNTL ACTIVE" dataset has 871 records (i.e., SNOTEL station point features) and the data are retrieved from ArcGIS Online (services,arcgis.com). Users can use the download pulldown menu to either download the complete dataset or filtered dataset in spreadsheet, shapefile, or KML format. Depending on the configuration of the NWCC ArcGIS Hub, users can see multiple tabs of a data/document entry. The image shows that the dataset has three tabs: Overview, Data, and API Explorer.
The Overview tab displays the available attributes and other metadata of the dataset. Users can click on the attributes that have Chart and/or Map Visualization capability (as indicated by the icons) to display a histogram and/or a symbolized map on the map window. The Data tab provides a tabular view of the dataset. Users can set filters on individual attribute fields to select only the needed records to display or download. The API Explorer tab, if present, allows users to find unique URL of the dataset so that they can access the dataset from different programs through the REST API.
