BAGIS-H uses only raster data as input for analysis. Use the vector to raster conversion tool to convert vector files to raster format so that they can be used by BAGIS-H. If a working AOI is previously selected, that AOI will appear in the "AOI Path" field. To choose a new working AOI, use the "Select AOI" button.
After supplying the required information for converting the vector, including the output raster name, click the "Apply" button to complete processing. The new raster layer will be stored in the user layers directory of the working AOI. Alternatively, click the "Cancel" button to reset the form to its default state and close the dialog form.

The HRU Template functionality allows you to re-use an HRU definition across multiple AOI's. To use this function, use the "Select AOI" buttons to select both an Output AOI path and a Template AOI path. The template HRU list populates with a list of HRU datasets in the Template AOI.
The template function scans the template HRU for the input layers used in all steps of the process. It then checks the output AOI folders to ensure that the required input layers are present. If any are missing, details are provided in the "Template errors" message area. Because input layers may be generated at intermediate processing stages, errors do not prevent the template function from trying to run.
Each step of the template is represented by a button with the name of the HRU generated by that step. To review the details of an HRU dataset, click on this button. When you are ready to run the HRU template process, click the "Generate HRU" button. Alternatively, click the "Cancel" button to reset the form to its default state and close the dialog form.

Advanced users can use the template rule editor to create templates for use on the HRU Define Zones dockable window. BAGIS-H comes with built-in templates that can be used as a basis for creating one's own. Currently the template rule editor is available for Canopy, Land Use, and Slope templates. Figure 4.7.1.3 is an example of a Land Use Template but the editors share some common controls.
Template definitions are stored in an XML file on the local file system in the same directory as the BAGIS configuration file. The path to the XML file is displayed in the Templates file field. To share your templates with other users, overwrite their templates.xml file with yours. Deleting this file and restarting BAGIS-H will restore the templates to their default versions.
The "Options" ComboBox is editable and allows a new template to be created with a different name.
Click the "Select Layer" button to select the data layer and field for the template. Only layers from the user layers directory can be used. The "Set as default" checkbox will set the template named in the "Options" comboBox as the default option for this template type. When a template rule is accessed while defining an HRU, the template is pre-populated with values from the default option.
The 'Delete' button will delete the template being edited from the options. You must have at least one template for each template type. BAGIS-H will prevent you from deleting the last template. Click the "Apply" button to save your template customizations to the local XML file. Alternatively, click the "Cancel" button to reset the form to its default state and close the dialog form.

BAGIS-H uses the ArcGIS File Geodatabase format to store output layers. Unfortunately this format is incompatible with the legacy GIS Weasel tool. The Make Zones tool exports the grid and grid_v.shp datasets to a format that can be used by the Weasel.
If a working AOI is previously selected, that AOI will appear in the "AOI Path" field. To choose a new working AOI, use the "Select AOI" button. Select an HRU layer to export. The output is saved at the root of the HRU zone folder.

This window provides version and contact information for BAGIS-H similar to many Windows programs. This is a good place to verify that you have installed the latest version of the BAGIS H Add-In.
