All Refine tool dialogs share some common controls. If a working AOI is previously selected, that AOI will appear in the "AOI Path" field. To choose a new working AOI, use the "Select AOI" button. The "Cancel" button resets the form to its default state before closing the dialog box. For additional information about any tool, just click the "Tell me more" button.
The eliminate tool removes polygons (zones) that are smaller than the selected area threshold. Polygons are merged either with the neighboring polygon that shares the longest border (Length Rule) or the largest neighboring polygon (Area Rule). The threshold can either be selected by a percentage of zones to be eliminated or the area of the zone. The Get Area From Map button allows you to interact with the zone map to specify a minimum area. When the HRU layer was created with the "Allow non-contiguous HRU" option checked, please use the "Length Rule" in the process. If "Area Rule" is used, some eliminated HRU zones might inadvertently combine with "neighboring" zones that are large in size but not in the vicinity of the zones eliminated. Lenght Rule could prevent this situation from happening.
The area threshold can be displayed in square kilometers, square miles, or acres. Once the threshold and rule are selected, BAGIS-H will predict the number of zones to be removed. A new set of HRU zones is generated when you supply the output HRU name and click the Eliminate button.

The cookie-cut tool extracts portions of the parent template HRU dataset using selected zones from the cookie-cut HRU dataset. The cookie-cut zones list populates when an HRU is selected from the cookie-cut hru list. Use the "Preserve AOI boundary" checkbox to mask the output to the working AOI boundary.
An output name for the HRU dataset must be entered prior to running the cookie-cut tool. Click the "Generate HRU" button to generate a cookie-cut HRU dataset. The tool will reset when HRU creation is complete.

The stamp tool overlays the selected zones from the stamp HRU dataset onto the parent template HRU dataset. The stamp zones list populates when an HRU is selected from the stamp hru list.
An output name for the HRU dataset must be entered prior to running the stamp tool. Click the "Generate HRU" button to generate a stamped HRU dataset. The tool will reset when HRU creation is complete.

Reclassify zones: Change HRU zones values based on a look-up-table created in this tool through interactive procedures or by typing a zone value.

This tool renumbers an HRU zone dataset so that the ID numbers are sequential and without gaps. This numbering format is required by the OMS/PRMS model. You may optionally retain a copy of the original dataset by checking the box in the lower right-hand corner.

Use the zonal statistics tool to add statistics from selected AOI layers to the HRU zone attribute tables. Choose an HRU Zone dataset to see all existing table attributes. Select a combination of value layers from the Raster, DEM, and PRISM lists. Selecting one or more value layers activates the statistics type checkboxes. Choose one or more statistics and click the Calculate button.
