All rule template dialogs share some common controls. The "Cancel" button resets the form to its default state before dismissing the dialog box. The "Apply" button saves all input, closes the dialog box, and returns control to the Define Zones Dockable Window. The template rule that was just being edited will be visible on the rules table. For additional information about the template rule, just click the "Tell me more" button.
Rule templates include one or more filtering actions. This processing is intended to remove DEM artifacts, speckles, and very small patches of discrete data which results in cleaner output. Use the filter width, height, and iterations settings to customize the filter(s).
The input data layer for rule templates is pre-defined. When a rule template is edited, BAGIS-HD will check for the existence of the input layer in the working AOI. If the input layer is missing, BAGIS-HD issues a warning and prevents that rule template from being included in the HRU definition. To change the input layer (for some templates) use the "Template Rule Editor" in the Options menu.
Advanced users can edit the template rules supplied with BAGIS-HD or use them as a basis for creating their own templates. This functionality is also available in the "Template Rule Editor".
The Aspect template uses the "aspect" layer for input. This is an internal analysis layer that should be generated by BAGIS when creating an AOI. Choose from 4, 8, or 16 directions. This template cannot be customized.
