PRMS Parameter Name(s): Radpl_Slope_Aspect
BAGIS-P Model Toolbox: bagis_topographic_methods.tbx
BAGIS-P Model Name: Radpl_Slope_Aspect
Field Name(s):
radpl_aspect
radpl_slope
Parameter Description: BAGIS uses HRU zones, instead of radiation planes, to calculate their values. The calculation is based on Weasel's algorithm, which involves the combinations of reclassified slope and reclassified aspect. The most commonly occurring combination of reclassified slope and reclassified aspect in each HRU zone is the output for radpl_slope and radpl_aspect. Radiation plane slope is in % slope. Radiation plane aspect in 8 direction remap.
Methods:
Reclassify slope and aspect layers:
Slope: (0-10→5; 10-20→15; 20-30→25; 30-40→35; 40-50→45; 50-60→55; 60-70→65; 70-80→ 75)
Aspect: (-1→ 0; 0-23→0; 23-68→45; 68-113→90; 113-158→ 135; 158-203→180; 203-248→225; 248-293→270; 293-338→315; 338-360→0)
Combine reclassified slope and aspect layers.
Calculate the MAJORITY combine value for each HRU using Zonal Statistics as Table.
Add “r_slope” and “r_aspect” fields.
Join MAJORITY input fields.
Calculate Field, “r_slope”, Majority View using the following expression:
[VAT_radpl_co.Recl_slp] * 0.01
Calculate Field, “r_aspect”, Majority View using the following expression:
[VAT_radpl_co.Rec_asp]
Remove Join.
Copy the output “r_slope” and “r_aspect” field values as their respective parameter values.
